After 2,300 miles, the Buddhist monks of the Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center in Fort Worth, along with their dog Aloka, will be returning to Texas to complete their Walk for Peace. The projected arrival date is on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Their trek began on October 26, 2025 in Fort Worth and has taken them from Texas to Washington, D.C.— all in an effort to promote peace, compassion, mindfulness and love.

Garnering attention and amassing fans from all over the world, the monks have walked roughly 20 miles a day in honor of their peaceful demonstration. A source with the Chùa Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center confirmed with Inspire N Style that the monks are anticipating arriving on time to Washington, D.C., their last stop. They further stated that the monks are scheduled to leave D.C. via a chartered bus heading back to Downtown Fort Worth on February 12. Their expected arrival into Fort Worth will be around 8 a.m. on February 14, by which they’ll complete their final walk from Downtown Fort Worth back to the Buddhist Temple. The community is invited to come in support.
