Prada recently celebrated its new NorthPark store grand opening with a star-studded soirée on April 24th. The 10,000 square foot space was packed from wall-to-wall with guests officially welcoming the luxury brand to one of Dallas’ preeminent shopping destinations.
Seen in the crowd was Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd, along with wife Porschla Kidd and Chance Kidd; fashion influencer Karis Renee; NorthPark Center Ambassador Kimberley Schlegel Whitman; designer Javier Burkley; and many others.

While rocking to the beats of DJ Kito, Prada perusers sipped on a margarita (or two), while shopping the latest in men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, leather goods, footwear, accessories and lifestyle gifts.
Specially flown in from Milan was Prada Group’s Jewelry Director Timothy Iwata, who personally adorned guests in fine jewelry from the Prada collection. From gold rings and diamond-encrusted necklaces, to the showstopper of them all—the Eternal Gold diamond snake bracelet—Prada became a playground of sparkle and opulence for the duration of the evening.
The NorthPark boutique is extremely expansive, allowing shoppers to browse from fragrances to eyewear to handbags and accessories, without feeling overwhelmed. The interior ushers in Milan to Dallas—boasting the brand’s signature design elements, including the black-and-white checkered marble floor, which is inspired by the original Prada store located in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
NorthPark Center continues to celebrate a wealth of newcomers, including UK-based womenswear brand ME+EM, Parisian fragrance fave Diptyque, and designer brand Givenchy, that officially opened at NorthPark late last Fall.
