Dallas fashion veteran Julie McCullough is a powerhouse — and not in the prototypical suit and pumps, woman in the boardroom type of way. The founder of one of Dallas’ most highly attended fashion showcases, The Pin Show, is everything but cookie cutter; and her voice and work within the industry not only speaks volumes but puts the excitement back into the game.
On Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM, McCullough embraces the unconventional once again, by staging a pop-up presentation at the W Hotel that piques both our curiosity and our senses. In only a way that she knows how to do, this recognized top creative will make the W Hotel her playground or better yet, her stage, as she debuts her new Folksie collection in what will be a performance of a lifetime.

Inspired by the antediluvian nickelodeon (historically jukeboxes and movie theaters with admission fee of a nickel coin), guests are invited to play along and watch as Folksie theatrically unveils its newest collection in a way the industry has never seen before.
“Each live performance will thematically chronicle the physical and psychological ordeal of a womanās transformation as she prepares for a night out,” McCullough wrote. “The beauty standards she feels compelled to meet, even exceed, and the reality that underneath it all, stripped of all the excess, is where her beauty truly resides.”
In a fashion meets art meets theater compilation, this innovative unveilingĀ breathes excitement into what was becoming a monotonous string of Dallas fashion activity. While admission is free, a $20 upgrade will allow guests to enjoy unlimitedĀ bellinis from the W’s famous BUBBLES bar, while perusing the shows and shopping the collection of not only Folksie, but featured New York Fashion Week designers Anya Caliendo and Falguni and Shane Peacock.
