North of Dallas has literally been rocked recently with the latest series of developments to rise up north of the Tollway, now coined as Legacy West. Drop the top and cruise up to where Legacy Drive meets the Dallas North Tollway, and embark into a district that has everyone all abuzz about what will open next.
With even the most faithful of central Dallasites trekking to the new urban center, we’re predicting a new ‘it’ location for all things dining, brunching, shopping, and more. So sorry not sorry to one of our dear Real Housewives of Dallas gals LeeAnne Locken — things are about to get “a little Plano up in here.”
Legacy West claims bragging rights to a plethora of firsts. Frontgate (pictured above), a home luxury lifestyle retailer, now houses its first flagship location within the district, boasting envious views and expansive real estate towards the north end of the space.
Additionally, Tommy Bahama, the retailer recognized for all things island-inspired, will open its first Tommy Bahama restaurant at Legacy West for the DFW Metroplex, marking its second overall restaurant-meets-retail concept for the state of Texas.
According to developer Fehmi Karahan, “We want to provide residents and visitors of North Texas access to a wealth of high-end amenities, residences and employment opportunities in one central location. Legacy West will have it all — the best places to live, work, eat, play and shop — in a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere.”
With 335,000 square feet of open-air space, Legacy West is living up to the hype, wooing packs of new visitors to its flourishing development week after week. Admittedly, the Inspire N Style team has frequented the Plano attraction at least six or more times within the last several weeks, but with cult favorites such as Fabletics, Bonobos, Dean & Deluca (coming soon), and others — who’s counting?
So…thinking about taking a visit up the Tollway? Here are suggestions that may make it worth your while.
FRONTGATE
Serenity awaits at this flagship location, where 21,337 square feet of posh decor, chic furnishings, and contemporary accessories liven up the space. A pause at the in-house bistro welcomes light bites and frothy sips as you browse your way around the latest in interior design.
From on-site monogramming to personalized design specialists, these are but a few of the unique offerings that highlight Frontgate — all the while future store events spanning textile trends to holiday ornamenting appeal to the elegant lifestyle. Frontgate now reigns as an Inspire N Style favorite, marking an unforgettable experience from the moment you arrive at the “front gates.”
NORTH ITALIA RESTAURANT
A spin to traditional Italian dining, North Italia diversifies Legacy West with an open space concept full of artistic aesthetics and culinary charm. A not-your-average Italian eatery, rudimentary offerings of meatball marinara and pizzas take a delectable upgrade.
While many of the craft cocktails and pasta dishes hit the spot, Inspire N Style faves range from the Italian Meatballs and Grilled Cauliflower to start, with the Short Rib Radiatori (pictured above) and Margherita Pizza rounding out the set. Enjoy with a sip from the Strawberry Spice Mule or Sicialian Margarita and your Legacy West encounter marks completion.
Be on the lookout for the Dean & Deluca opening as well as staples such as Warby Parker, Fabletics, Coach, and lest we forget, Sprinkles to round out the ultimate Legacy West experience.
