As Texas opens back up, local Plano beverage shop HTeaO commemorated its one year anniversary with a State Fair-themed celebration on May 15, 2021. Families gathered from across North Texas to sip tea, listen to live music, play games, and dine on a State Fair classic — Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs. After the pandemic dented HTeaO’s original 2020 grand opening plans, it was time to re-emerge with a community-wide activation that would truly put HTeaO on the map.
Traffic was at a steady drip (pun intended) for an energetic, and sweeter gathering, as guests enjoyed many of the 26 brewed iced tea flavors, and mixed and matched them to their own tastes. From watermelon to chai to mango and coconut, HTeaO hosts one of the largest variety of both sweet and unsweet tea beverages, citywide.
“My daughter loves to mix the Texas Chai and Coconut flavors together,” said Shelly Hawes, marketing director of HTeaO Plano. “There are a lot of fun combinations.”
Totally DIY, HTeaO teas span wall-to-wall, with fresh fruits to garnish. Launched in 2009 by Gary and Kim Hutchens, the HTeaO concept offers a myriad of natural brews, without the use of any syrups, GMO or artificial ingredients. A reverse osmosis filtration system is built into every location to create the cleanest water — giving you that crisp, refreshing sensation when you sip your drip of tea.
Additionally, the Plano shop is also a licensed YETI dealer, offering cups and coolers, along with healthy snacks — making this local destination a craveable one-stop shop. HTeaO boasts 30 locations across Texas, Oklahoma and Florida, with more than 20 new locations coming soon.
And that’s the tea…literally.
