Dallas pizza favorite, Eno’s Pizza Tavern, will expand to historic downtown Forney with a soft opening scheduled for January 4, 2018. Noted as the second location for the popular eatery, Eno’s new 3,600 square-foot space will feature locally made furniture, an outdoor patio, large event room, and other interior features of reclaimed and recycled material.
More notorious for its signature thin crust pizzas, the deepest dish on this new Forney hotspot hails from Eno’s co-owner Shane Spillers.
“Forney is a tight-knit community, and we have enjoyed immersing ourselves in the city to get to know our new neighbors as we have constructed the new restaurant over the last several months,” said Spillers.
“We can’t wait to open and welcome neighbors and community members to Eno’s Forney for delicious pizza.”
While it seems that as of late, DFW restaurant expansions have been in the northern sectors of Plano and Frisco, the Eno’s move to Forney was utterly strategic adding 45 new jobs to the local economy and a splash of Eno’s flair to what was once the former Forney Fire Station No. 1.
The community establishment originally opened in 2008 in the Bishop Arts District, and today is still going strong with Eno’s Side Dough located right next door offering takeout and delivery of the Eno’s menu, as well as craft beer and wine.
Eno’s Forney will mimic similar menu items, however with nods to locally sourced ingredients showcasing local purveyors including: “a rotating selection of artisanal meats from 4T’s BBQ on The Perfect Picnic charcuterie board and Sunnyvale Honey on the Pig Smiley Pizza.”
Other menu items will include pizzas such as Inspire N Style favorite, Meatball & The Goat (fresh basil, goat cheese, sliced Texas beef and boar Texas meatball) to Pineapple Fresca (pineapple, arugula & parmesan salad, fresh jalapeno and Benton’s ham), as well as homemade soups, salads, pastas, sandwiches, craft beers, wine, cocktails, and more.
In its soft opening phase, Eno’s will be open Tuesday – Sundays for dinner service. In February, hours will expand to include lunch service beginning at 11:30 a.m. At that time, Eno’s will also offer delivery service through online ordering.
