Black History Month is in full swing and Macy’s Galleria Dallas is celebrating the historical month with a star-studded culinary affair, and you’re invited! On Saturday, February 18, 2017, beginning at 5PM, Macy’s Culinary Council Chef Marcus Samuelsson will make an appearance for a special cooking event to observe Black History Month, in addition to the launch of his new cookbook, The Red Rooster Cookbook: The Story of Food and Hustle in Harlem and Black History Month.
Chef Marcus Samuelsson took the culinary world by storm at the age of 24. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Sweden, Samuelsson was the youngest chef ever to receive a three-star restaurant review from the New York Times. His unique fusion of culinary talents and his jaw-dropping recipes make him and his creations anything but ordinary.
Mark your calendars for February 18th! Learn professional culinary tips and tricks from Chef Samuelsson directly as he shares stories and secrets on how to dish up some of his most popular award-winning creations. This free event is open to the public and will feature mouth-watering samples, performances by Harlem-based band The Rakiem Walker Project and NYC-based dance group W.A.F.F.L.E.!
Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so we suggest getting there early for this must-attend event. Receive a copy of Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s new cookbook with any $35 or more purchase from the Home Department, which he will then sign for you on site!
RSVP today for this free eventĀ (through February 17th) and receive a $10 Macy’s gift card at the event. See you there!
