Move over SXSW, Austin Fashion Week 2016 (“AFW”) is coming and it’s revving up into a style explosion like you’ve never seen before! Just fresh off the dish on the 2016 AFW Style Setters, the Fashion X Austin crew dropped yet another bomb, revealing the long-awaited list of designers for Austin Fashion Week 2016 — and our senses are totally predicting complete fashion overload.
Calendared for August 15 – 23, 2016, Austin Fashion Week will feature stylish soirees, exclusive shopping opportunities, and a slew of fashion activities to keep you glamorously plugged in all week long. But let’s face it. It’s the catwalk that gets the adrenaline pumping into overdrive, so all eyes and calendars should be marked for April 21 – 23, 2016, which is reserved for the ultimate in designer runway shows.
While Project Runway faves such as Korto Momolu, Daniel Esquivel, and Michelle Lesniak head up the top of our must-see list, an unexpected invasion of Dallas designers will head to AFW, raising the bar to even higher expectations.
Making the cut to hail from the Big D is Pin Show 2016 participant Flawless Honey (pictured above), past Pin Show participant and Inspire N Style boho favorite, Meg Morgan, the ultimate retail sensation of Tinsley Radix, and an Inspire N Style accessories crush by Blaine Bowen.
Although anything or anyone straight outta D-town tends to fancy our interest, Austin Fashion Week 2016 certainly serves us with even more “ones to watch” such as NBC’s Fashion Star Ross Bennett, kids’ fashion aficionado Jeffrey Sebelia, and of course no trip to Austin would be complete without a stop by the vendor booth of our comfy footwear crave, Austin-based SUAVS shoes.
